I did only half of the first days workout. 12 exercises. Didn't want to push myself. Thank goodness I didn't. I would have gotten sick had I gone any further. Tomorrow is Plyometrics. Cardio city. This ought to be fun. Thanks for the inspiration.HillbillyTNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11086389444365625292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15500542409570152.post-90541711577301104802008-01-29T19:05:00.000-06:002008-01-29T19:05:00.000-06:00Glad to see you back. I actually started a second round of P90x this week so, I'll be checking in with your blog from some much needed inspiration.acehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15700457140778271786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15500542409570152.post-32976410375561822672008-01-28T21:35:00.000-06:002008-01-28T21:35:00.000-06:00Nick,I have checked back in to your blog regularly...Nick,

I have checked back in to your blog regularly to see how you transitioned to round 2. Your Round 1 comments/photos were very encouraging...especially after my wife dropped out after the first month of P90X. A few in my family even think I'm "over obsessed" with the program. (I needed to be to make it all 90 days.) I finished Round 1 mid January (lost 25 pounds and 4 pants sizes). For the other commentors, I'd only lost two pounds after the first six weeks...it flys off after that.

I'll be modifying the meal plan a little...found that I need more carbs with Round 2. The fuel tanks were a little too empty. This round is about muscle building. Six pack isn't there just yet (almost), but I'm sure that will come as the rest increases.

More than anything...I've made this my "lifestyle change". I don't see it as a diet or program any more. P90X (and the encouragment from others like yourself) have given me the boost I needed to maky a healthy lifestyle the day-in and day-out it needs to be. The same intensity only helps to motivate me in other areas of my life (work, husband, father of two).

Thanks for the encouragement...keep it up in Round 2. Looking forward to more posts.

Tim from CaliAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15500542409570152.post-29867206810635829282008-01-25T14:36:00.000-06:002008-01-25T14:36:00.000-06:00Hi Nick,So now I have to pass along my homemade pr...Hi Nick,
So now I have to pass along my homemade protein "brownie" recipe. It's really good. I use Spiru-Tein protein powder and you can leave out the peanut butter if you want. I've also used other flavors besides chocolate and have liked them all.

2 Level scoops of chocolate soy or whey-based protein powder
1 Tablespoon of natural peanut butter
1/4 Cup steel cut oatmeal
4 Egg whites
1/4 Teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 Cup unsweetened applesauce

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix the egg whites and uncooked oatmeal. Add the remaining ingredients.
Spray a nonstick cooking spray in an 8"x8" baking dish (or a 4x9 bread pan works too). Spread the mixture in an even layer, over the bottom of the dish. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the edge starts to pull away from the sides of the dish.

Let cool for 5 minutes and cut into bars.

Makes 6 bars.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15500542409570152.post-35728954319030265232008-01-23T15:11:00.000-06:002008-01-23T15:11:00.000-06:00Pretty cool Nick, I also started Round 2 this week...Pretty cool Nick, I also started Round 2 this week after a knee injury sidelined me last year. I'm also blogging about it but I doubt anyone but family reads it: http://wesproject.blogspot.com
I really like how you're posting pictures, wish I'd done that for the first round. Hope you don't mind if I borrow that approach.

Good hunting and keep 'Bringing it!'
-WesWeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13460549953510656587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15500542409570152.post-51724551069582557932008-01-22T15:28:00.000-06:002008-01-22T15:28:00.000-06:00Sam...I didn't get any "weight" results till aroun...Sam...
I didn't get any "weight" results till around the middle of Phase II.

Don't give up!!! Also, take a look at your Nutritional Intake Level. I was a Level II but I was on the verge of Level I. I have been doing the program for 3 weeks now and although I've been sticking with the workouts and following the diet I haven't really lost any weight at all which was a bit discouraging.

I definitely feel better and have had an increase in strength but I'm hoping to see some fat burn off here soon!

Finding your blog has given me some encouragement to stay the course.

Thanks again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15500542409570152.post-55801027598323265452008-01-22T13:54:00.001-06:002008-01-22T13:54:00.001-06:00If your skeptical.. Look at the comparison picture...If your skeptical.. Look at the comparison pictures.... That's proof enough.

I take anything other than the P90X multivitamin and Recovery drink. No fat burners, no NO boosters, nothing. ALL NATURAL!!!!!

The meals were meals/food that I buy normally at the supermarket. No weird ingredients, high priced this or hard to find that. My normal grocery list sufficed (with a few healthier choices)

Total Cost.. The price of the program, pull up bar, vitamins, and drink. Got the vitamins and drink off ebay which saved a couple of bucks.

I have a full-time job. I'm also a full-time husband and full-time father.

I was 100% skeptical as you were, but since the program used nothing but a pull-up bar and a set of free weights, no special machine or gadget that you have to buy, I thought I'd give it a try. Besides, the price I paid for the program equaled about 2 months of what I'd pay going to a local gym.

It's by far the best program I've ever done. Hands Down, 100% worth it. If you stick to the system (not skipping workout days here and there) and eat along the guidelines of the nutritional program that comes with it. Your will get results.

But, like I said. It only works if YOU work it. Look at my pics. Those are worth 1,000 words.

-NickNicholas Davaulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08262907448010974864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15500542409570152.post-21884365621682089332008-01-22T13:54:00.000-06:002008-01-22T13:54:00.000-06:00Hello Nick, stumbled upon your story. Total money spent? equipment needed? and plain out, is it 100% worth it? Sorry so skeptical but there is a lot of junk out there. Thanks for your time...
-TiffanyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
